Mãla Kai Resort is in Estepona, on the Costa del Sol between Marbella and Sotogrande, a short distance from Arroyo Vaquero beach. Supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés and restaurants are about a minute's walk away, and the lively centre of Estepona is a few minutes' drive. Three golf courses — Estepona Golf, Valle Romano and Finca Cortesín — lie within 7 km, and the nearby A-7 and AP-7 motorways put Sotogrande about 25 minutes away, Marbella about 30 minutes, Gibraltar airport about 45 minutes and Málaga airport about an hour. In Hawaiian, Mãla Kai means 'gardens by the sea'. The development comprises 70 homes with one, two and three bedrooms in seven blocks: ground-floor homes with gardens, first-floor apartments and second-floor penthouses with solariums. Landscape architects designed the grounds to blend with the native vegetation, and the complex is fenced, with a security booth controlling access, a video intercom, CCTV cameras monitored from the booth and smart parcel lockers at the main entrance. The penthouses available share the same interior layout, one of them in mirror image: about 97 m² of interior living space (144–147 m² built), with an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area of about 43 m² in all, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living area opens onto a main terrace of 66–71 m², with one or two smaller terraces besides, and a stair leads up to a private solarium of about 93 m² with a four-person jacuzzi with an aromatherapy system and underwater chromotherapy lighting — between 163 and 177 m² of terraces and solarium in all. Ducted air conditioning delivers hot and cold air to the living room and bedrooms, an aerothermal system produces the hot water and the main bathroom has electric underfloor heating. The lacquered aluminium windows have a thermal break and low-emissivity, solar-control glazing, with insulated aluminium blinds in the bedrooms, motorised in the main bedroom. The kitchen comes with high-capacity units, compact-quartz worktops and fronts, an extractor hood, ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and sink. The bathrooms have wall-hung toilets, flat shower trays with fixed safety-glass screens and Hansgrohe taps, with a thermostatic rain shower in the main bathroom. Porcelain stoneware floors, non-slip on the terraces and solarium, an armoured entrance door, white fitted wardrobes, an LED strip in the bedroom hallway, and sockets and LED lighting on the terraces complete the specification. The development is completed and the penthouses are key-ready. A penthouse is reserved with a deposit of €40,000, and the remainder of the price is paid at the notary.
