Mimosas

Mimosas is an exclusive development of 35 homes in seven low-rise buildings in Real de La Quinta, a 200-hectare residential country club estate in the hills of Benahavís, between Marbella and the Sierra de las Nieves. From an elevated position in the estate it looks out to Marbella's La Concha mountain, the Istán lake and the Mediterranean coast. Every home has its own private pool, in addition to the communal saltwater pools set in the gardens. The ground floors are villa garden apartments built over two levels: the living area and bedrooms open onto a large terrace, and the lower level has a private garden, a pool with an outdoor shower and a multi-purpose leisure room of about 89–96 m² that can become a home cinema, gym, office, library or games room. Above them are penthouses with large terraces and, on the top floor, super penthouses with a private solarium and pool. The homes now available are two two-bedroom villa garden apartments with three bathrooms, about 250 m² built including the leisure room and the share of common areas, about 65 m² of terraces and gardens of about 45 and 71 m²; two three-bedroom villa garden apartments with four bathrooms, about 293–298 m² built, 91–131 m² of terraces and gardens of about 44 and 190 m²; and a three-bedroom super penthouse with three bathrooms, one of them on the solarium, and a guest toilet, about 232 m² built, 92 m² of terraces and a solarium of about 150 m² with a private pool and an outdoor shower. The homes have open-plan living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows and a gas fireplace, a Bulthaup kitchen with Miele appliances, a laundry room, two parking spaces in the underground garage and a storage room. Specifications include underfloor heating (electric in the bathrooms), zoned air conditioning, home automation, dimmable LED lighting, double glazing with UV protection, a Wi-Fi access point in every home, a safe and pre-installation for electric-car charging; grey and rain water are reused and the pools use saline treatment. The development is gated, with an automatic garage door and coded pedestrian gates with a video intercom, and is designed to BREEAM sustainability standards. Real de La Quinta borders a UNESCO biosphere reserve and has 24-hour security. At its heart, El Lago Club opened in 2026 beside a lake of more than 35,000 m²: a natural-sand beach with a swimming area, kayaks, paddle boards and water bikes, a six-hole executive golf course, tennis and padel courts, a wellness centre with a gym, a heated indoor pool and a spa, a children's area and a restaurant, with paths around the lake for walking and running. Real de La Quinta was the first urban development in Spain to receive the BREEAM sustainability certificate for its infrastructure planning. The estate lies in a quiet, natural setting above the coast, yet Nueva Andalucía's golf valley is about 10 to 15 minutes away by car, Puerto Banús and the beaches about 15 to 20 minutes, Marbella's town centre under half an hour and Málaga airport a little over an hour.
